4 Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

4 Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

Those with busy working lives will often find themselves reaching for the takeaway menu on a regular basis and jumping in the car to get from A to B. This fast paced way of living can result in important aspects such as healthy eating and exercise being put on the back burner. If you are starting to feel the effects of such a lifestyle, it’s time to kick start a healthy alternative and what better way to do this than reading the following top tips to help inspire you? From joining a gym to making a few smarter food choices, you can soon be reaping the benefits of a healthier regime.

Join the Gym

When you have finished your 9 to 5 it is understandable that you are longing for the comforts of home, but it is surprising how quickly you can work a gym session into your routine. Just half an hour in the gym three times a week is enough to make a vast improvement to your fitness levels, so take advantage of your local gym. Larger gym facilities will often also have exercise classes going on such as Pilates and Zumba so you can get fit in a variety of ways.

Prepare a Lunch

With back to back meetings and deadlines looming, the chances of you rushing out to a nearby shop to grab a quick snack are pretty high. By taking the time to prepare a lunch, you can remain in control of the sort of food you are consuming. A sandwich made with granary bread and filled with fresh salad and a lean meat or low fat cheese will fill you for longer and contain much less fat than that pasty from the local bakery.

Get Walking

If you use your car to get everywhere, now is the time to consider ways in which you could ditch the car in favour of your feet! If you use a car park in town that is closest to the office, consider looking for one slightly out of town, not only will it be cheaper for you it will also get you walking a little more each working day. If you rely on buses to get you into work, get off a couple of stops early to increase your daily steps.

Up your Veg Intake

If you are the kind of person that eats on the move as and when, the chances of you getting your five a day are pretty slim. Take the time to add fruit and veg to your diet wherever possible; a handful of dried fruit on top of your morning bowl of cereal, fruit as snacks throughout the day and a portion of fresh veg with your evening meal are all vitally important to a healthy lifestyle.

Taking steps towards a healthier way of living might not seem like the easiest thing to do, but after the initial alterations to your lifestyle you will see just how easy it is to vastly improve your lifestyle through diet and exercise. Start the journey towards a new you today by considering these top tips.

Clothes Window Shopping

Clothes Window Shopping

We went to Tesco Lotus today to buy a gift for our friend. While we were there I was also window shopping for clothes.   As I was admiring and trying out a few clothes, I was reminded that I actually have a lot of clothes in my clothes. My only problem now is that I can’t wear most of those clothes because I feel that they don’t fit me anymore. Some are still actually wearable but with my weight gain, I feel more comfortable with certain clothes now so, I am left with a few blouses and shirts.

So, I guess the only solution for me to save from spending  money from clothes is to lose weight! :) Clothes are not as cheap as before anymore so, buying them can really add up on the expenses. Thus, I will continue with my diet and lose the weight and inches until I can wear all my clothes comfortably. The money budgeted for clothes can instead be used to buy other things like RayBan  sunglasses or  maybe shoes!

Trying For the 3rd Time

Trying For the 3rd Time

I’m trying it again for the 3rd time now.. yes, that’s doing a Juice Fast..I’ve just read my posts on my previous juice fast last year and I noticed that I the longest I had was 8 days days but guess what, I was cheating a lot in between. I hope that I could go longer than 8 days this time and be able to complete at least 21 days or 30 days.

As for my updates, I’m keeping a journal ( yes, a notebook) in which I write my weight loss and stuff. I need a lot of motivation and reading a lot of articles, watching a lot of videos to help me go on.
