Intermission: Short Film, ‘ The Crush’

Intermission: Short Film, ‘ The Crush’

Here is a short movie posted by my friend in Facebook. It’s a very cute story of how a school boy got a crush on his teacher. He was so ‘serious’ with her that he even gave her a ring ( not a diamond ring though). I love as to how the story progressed. Anyways, you can watch the short film and be entertained. And by the way, this film has been nominated and won the Oscars, best short film category.

Forks Over Knives

Forks Over Knives

I’m currently watching this documentary film entitled, Fork and Knives. I’ve read about this film in a lot of blogs and pages of people who practices juice fasting so, I was quite intrigued with it.

I’m still halfway through the film but I’m already learning a lot. This actually serves as an eye opener for me as to how food can affect our health. It can either make us sick or heal us. Meat products, diary and processed food can have ill effects on our body while whole, plant based food can heal us. This reminded me of my father’s oncologist who advised him NOT to eat any meat or diary product but only eat fruits and vegetables. Another doctor practicing alternative medicine just prescribed whole fruits and vegetables (blended or  juiced). It took a lot of research and the use of medical computers for the doctors to come to this conclusion but I don’t know why it just seem difficult for people to believe that it’s just simple as this.

I haven’t finished the movie yet but this further motivated me to continue juicing (juice feasting). Never mind if it’ll take me a long time to lose weight, as long as I know that the food I’m eating is ‘healing’ me and making me healthy along the way and not making me sick.
