I’m getting back on track on my journey to health. I’ve had two unsuccessful attempts with juice fasting but I’m not giving up. I actually found the missing link and sort of the answer as to why I have been unsuccessful. I guess it’s the fact that I immediately jump into juice fasting without really preparing for it through a ‘transition’ period. This has often left me ‘unprepared’ for a long juice fast and thus explains why my fast only lasts for 5-9 days ( and that includes the cheat days..LOL!).
Anyways, as I’ve read a lot of articles and posts from people who have been successful with this. I realized that they do have 3 days to 10 days transition period. So for example if they do a 30 day fast, they have 7-10 days transition period before the fast and this means they just eat raw food during this time or they do juice for 2 meals a day.
So, here is my plan, I’m going to do a 1 week transition period or preparation period ( which I started this MOnday) , and then proceed to a straight 30 day juice fast ( yes, I’m making it 30 days now…) and then another 7 days post-fast period by juicing two meals a day and 1 regular meal.
Here is my schedule:
October 24- 30- Transition/Prep period : 2 Juice meals a day and 1 regular meal
October 31- November 29- 30 Day juice fast
November 30-December 6- Post fast : 2 juice meals a day
That’s a total of 1 and a half months!… If I would only be consistent with this plan of mine and not give up. I’m sure there will be a lot of changes in my health and physical body. Oh, I’m looking forward for the weight loss part. I might be even tempted to search best online shopping sites to get a new wardrobe. Oh well, I have to lose weight first before I think of that…
