It’s in the Genes

It’s in the Genes

My mom has it, my aunties have it and I’m starting to have it too. Do you know what I’m talking about? Varicose veins. When I was younger, I’ve always been curious to see my Aunty’s green, ‘worm-like tubes’ on her legs. Only when I asked then I knew that they were called, varicose veins. I haven’t asked them what what causes varicose veins. But as I got older, the I realized that I’m starting to have the too. Though mine are still light green in color and thin, but maybe If I’m not careful, then they would grow bigger and bulge too.

Oh, It’s good that I’m not that conscious of these veins growing. But I do hope that they won’t get so bulgy and big like my aunties’. And oh, writing about this now, makes me want to ‘google’ on how to prevent or get rid of these in a natural way aside from using the famous ointment.

Home Theater

Home Theater

Whenever we go to Tesco Lotus to do our groceries, we never miss lingering at the appliance section  specifically the TV section. It’s not that we’re planning to buy new home theater system but their appliance section is just so appealing and makes you interested to try them out. I’m not sure whether what they display is at par with the TVee model 30 soundbar but they are really so hi tech. Sometimes, it’s so tempting to just sit infront of their 50″ LED TV and watch the latest 3D movie. Of course, they don’t show the latest movies but just some demo movies instead. But I’m pretty sure that if they show the latest blockbuster movies, it will not just be us who will get stuck there but as well as the other customers and maybe the workers. :)

Anyways, a trip to the TV section at Tesco always makes us wonder if it’s worth buying a big TV for us. Well, the answer is no because we really don’t have a lot of spare time to watch TV. Our kids do, but we don’t want them to be glued in the tube.

No More Medication

No More Medication

As mentioned in one of my posts,I’ve been so encouraged by the life of Joe Cross. He is the main character of the documentary film, Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead. He has indeed made a 180 degree turn from his unhealthy lifestyle and ended up being so fit and healthy. At the beginning of his journey he was so sick that he was on several medication. But amazingly, after his 60 day juice fast, his physician has asked him to stop his medication since there’s no need for him to take them.

It’s really great to let our bodies heal itself without medication. If we only try to live healthy, I’m sure we won’t experience any major ailments and won’t need medication. These days, even some medicine can cause more harm than good. Just take for example, the Actos lawsuit. The medicine that’s supposed to help cure diabetes has been reported to cause injuries like heart failure.
