The rain was so heavy the other day and our kitchen started to get flooded. There’s some problem in the drainage in the house and so even if it rains heavily for an hour or two, then water will start to rise.

So after experiencing that twice in our 8 month stay in this house, Hubby and I were determined to move out and look for a new house. This house that we’re staying is quite cheap and even if the house is not new but we love our neighborhood. But we don’t want to always get scared of getting flooded and it’s quite difficult to always move the cabinets and stuff from the kitchen when heavy rains come.

So,yesterday Hubby talked to our house owner and told him of our reason for moving out. Then just this morning he called back and begged us to stay. He promised to do everything he can to fix everything. And true enough this afternoon, he came with a man who will do the repairs.  The man came with all his gadgets, clamps, shovel and all. Then, he also called up the district and reported the drainage in our neighborhood. Tomorrow, they will come back and try to fix the back of the kitchen while the maintenance personnel from the district will fix the whole neighborhood’s drainage.

Hmm.. that was such a fast move from our house owner. I just hope and pray that everything will be fixed and we won’t experience flooding in our kitchen anymore.
