Losing Inches and Not Pounds

Two weeks have past since I started the USANA Reset. I had two cans of the meal replacement shake which lasted for 7 days ( 5 days for 3 meals and 2 days for 2 meals). I only lost 2 pounds of weight during the 5 day reset but I was not dismayed because the shakes has indeed curbed my cravings and thus allowing me eat healthier meals. Since I didn’t crave for rice and coke, I decided to steer away from these – actually my weaknesses. I also started doing my regular workouts. And with these major changes in my eating habits and activities, I always get excited in weighing myself  thinking that I should have shed off some pounds but I then when I check my weight, it stayed the same… 2 pounds lost from the 5 day reset.

But guess what, even if I didn’t lose any weight, there has been tremendous changes in my body. My body has shrunk!! I’ve just measured myself again today and I lost another inch on my waist since my last measurement last week.

So, guess how much I lost for the past 2 weeks? I’ve lost 3 inches from my waist, almost 2 inches from my chest and 2 and a half inches from my hips! Fantastic! Now, I’m more motivated to eat healthily and do my daily work outs! But I’m just wondering, where did my weight go? Why I’m not losing pounds when my body is supposed to be getting smaller?  Does that mean I’m gaining muscles?? Hmmm..

I will really try to stick on what I’ve started. I don’t want to be on the path again when I would be looking on fast and easy weight loss and be reading nuphedragen reviews .

What Am I Doing at 2:30 in the Morning?

It’s exactly 2:36 in the morning and obviously, I’m still wide awake. I’ve been sleeping late for ages and I don’t know when will the time when I would get to sleep early. I really have to do something about this unhealthy habit. Yes, I’ve been exercising and trying to eat healthily but I guess my sleeping pattern will be my downfall. Aside from getting acne, blackheads and oily skin, sleeping late or lack of sleep also slows down the metabolism. Hmmm…

But as of now, I don’t have a choice but to sleep late since our kids don’t sleep early. All my relaxation and online work only start once my kids are asleep. But anyways, I have to do something about this…

Coke-free and Rice-free for 14 Days!

Coke-free and Rice-free for 14 Days!

Wow! It has already been 2 weeks since I touched rice and drank coke! This has been my longest time without eating rice. The longest time I was rice-free before was 12 Days because I did the grapefruit diet. And of course , I ate as much rice as I could on the 13th day and so on. :)

Anyways, my goal is to be rice-free and coke-free for 2 months and see if there would be any visible results with my weight. So, what have been my source of carbo for the past days. I’ve actually been having whole grain bread most of the time. I’ve had pasta and flat noodles once. I know that pasta still belongs to the refined category but I just couldn’t find wholemeal pasta at the regular supermarkets.

I haven’t started being coffee free and sugar free yet. Maybe I’ll have to do this once I reach my 1 month mark of being rice free and coke free. I would like to take things one at a time so, there’ll be much chances for me to keep up my healthy ways. :)
