If you’ve heard about the Atkins diet, you must be thinking that I’m on another fad diet again and will end up in breaking this plan in the future. But you know what, this time I’m not aiming it to be a so-called short term diet but I’m planning to do it for a long time.
The diet that I’ve been doing on and off for the past month ( Mayo Clinic) is just a short term diet and can’t be done long term because of the very limited choices of food. I also had this mind set before that I would just diet for 12 days, lose weight and then go back to my normal way of eating. So, I guess this is the part that I failed. Because I always go back to my normal eating habits, I always end up gaining back the weight I lost.
I’ve already been doing a lot of research on Atkins and the Harcombe diet but it seems that I’m more convinced that Atkins will work better for me. I’ll have to share my reasons in my next post.
So for now, I’m an Atkins girl!
I couldn’t agree more! I did Harcombe for the first stage and lost 8lb, then went on to the second stage and put half of it back on again so I moved over to Atkins and I’ve now lost 28lb.
I do recommend the Harcombe phase 1 though as it gets rid of the reasons for cravings. This bit does work.
