Very Small Steps at A Time

Very Small Steps at A Time

As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, I’ve spent a lot of time scrutinizing weight loss success stories of  different people. And one very encouraging that I’ve found is that being fit and healthy is not an overnight event. Everything starts small and if we faithfully adhere to these seemingly small things and then we’ll see result. Oh, this actually reminds me of the verse ‘ be faithful in small things and you’ll be entrusted with much’. Hmm.. this verse can really be applied in every aspect of our lives.

Back to the small things.. I’ll try to make small changes in my lifestyle for me to reach my very goal to be fit and healthy. I’ve been a very sedentary person and if you don’t see me lying down, I’ll surely be just sitting while watching my kids play. So, for the past days, I’ve been doing some ‘movements’ like taking my kids for a stroll around the compund , or twisting my waist with the waist trimmer..LOL! This also applies for household chores that maybe even if there’s a central vacuum system , now I would prefer to sweep or mop the floor. :)

So, I hope that I can be faithful with my very small steps towards my endeavor to be fit. :)

I'm Losing..

I'm Losing..

No..I’m not losing my mind nor losing in a game but I think I’m losing weight! LOL!

A few weeks ago, I did the Mayo Clinic diet and I lost 2.5 kilos and planned to continue on with the diet. But then, my plan never pushed through because just the thought of eating bacon and eggs for another 12 days already makes me ‘bored’.

So, I thought that my 12 days of ‘struggle’ will be laid into waste if I don’t do any follow up and it and would end up getting back the weight I lost. But my yesterday’s weigh in result came as a surprise to me as I found out that I’ve still lost some more weight even without the “Mayo Clinic  Diet”.

I actually did a little bit of research and read all the ‘success stories’ of formerly obese people and mentally took note of the common factors on what they did to lose weight.  No, they didn’t do any surgery, nor taken any pills and etc. but they just did things the natural way like eating fiber rich food, drinking a lot of water, exercise and etc. So, for more than a week now, I’ve been trying to incorporate these small little things on a daily basis. I guess, that must be the reason for my weight loss even without me dieting.

So, my quest is still on… I’m trying to do all these weight loss endeavour slowly, and a day at a time..And hopefully, I will reach my goal weight in a few months times.

On The Move

On The Move

I’m not a physically active person but I love to be always on the move. I can’t stay in one place for a long time. I have to go out, explore and see other things other than the same place for months.

If I remain in one place for  a long time, I then get bored. So, I guess, I can never be a home buddy. I have to go out of the house. I have to travel outside the city or I have to see new things.

This must explain, why I feel so lousy for the past days.. it’s because we’re just usually at home. I think the best thing for me to keep me from getting bored is to stay in mobile homes. Imagine, being at home but waking up with different views and in new places each day? Wouldn’t that be cool?
