I’m a coffee drinker. But if I do have tea, I make sure it’s milk tea. Actually, the very first time I tasted milk tea was during my trip here to Malaysia several years ago. The best milk tea I’ve ever had was from one auntie who’s a pastor’s wife. Even my Mom who never likes tea, loved her tea so much.
So, at one time I had the privilege to watch her mix her tea. It was so simple but very rich in taste.
1) Make sure you have the loose tea (not the one in tea bags) and put in a generous amount of it in your strainer. It would also be richer if you mix different kinds of tea.
2) Then pour the hot water in the tea strainer several times. This way, the tea will indeed be strong in taste.
3) Then in a separate container mx together condensed milk, powdered milk, a little bit of sugar ( according to you sweetness level) and dilute in hot water.
4) Then pour the milk mixture into the tea mixture. If you feel the tea is not strong enough. Then feel free to pour in the whole mixture into the tea strainer again.
5) To add flavor and scent, put in a dash of cinnamon powder on your tea mixture.
Have a happy tea time!
