Sandalwood and the Burmese People

Burmese Kids During our trip to Myanmar, I noticed that many people, women and children alike put a certain kind of cream on their faces and just leave it as it is.

It has served like a ‘decoration’ on their face, like a blush on except that it’s beige.

Later on I found out that the cream makes their skin soft and fresh. They usually apply this after they take their bath. I also noticed that indeed the Burmese have clear skin. Many of them don’t have much pimples.

So, my Hubby asked me if I wanted to buy one and try it out. I refused because I’m not really so consistent in applying creams and other things on my face and body. I know that I’ll only apply for  3 days maximum and forget about it.  Imagine, I still have this bottle of Oil of Olay my Hubby bought for me last year!

Anyways, back to Sandalwood. I did some research and I found out that Sandalwood is particularly good for dry skin, dry cracked feet, itchy skin, razor bumps and stretch marks. Sandal-wood oil will induce a state of relaxation that is conducive to sounder, easier sleep. Hmm.. It sure has a lot of scientific benefits.
