Daily Devotion for Kids

Daily Devotion for Kids

One of the most important thing that I would really like to impart to my children is letting get into the habit of having a daily devotion or quiet time with God. This is one spiritual discipline or exercise that can really help them in every aspect of their lives. In the future, parents can not always be with them to guide them and lead them but having as God their guide, nothing else would matter.

With this in mind, I’ve also started with Tricia’s daily devotion. As much as possible, I read the Bible with her everyday, have a bit of interaction on what she understands and extracting some real life applications from the story. Tricia’s an auditory learner, so there’s no need to read from her Children’s Bible story ( the one wit pictures) but instead I read from the Bible itself while she listens intently. I’m quite amazed with her comprehension and how she can ask some questions which I never thought a kid could ask.

I just hope that as we do this regularly, this habit can be built in her and continues on until she learns how to read and do her devotions on her own.
