Kids and Pets

Kids and Pets

Children really  love all kinds of pets. I remember that one of my li’l boy’s first words is ‘dody’ which means doggy. My Li’l girl also wants to have a puppy to take care of. But I know she’s not capable to take care of one yet. Maybe once she’s a little bit older we can consider letting have a pet of her own. A puppy would be good but then, it’ll require a lot of care and grooming.

My friends back in Thailand have a couple of puppies and I’m amused as to how they take care them, buy some doggy stuff for them and treat them like their own kids.

I don’t think I can have that kind of affection for dogs so, I’m not sure if a puppy would be the right pet for our kids.

Being Content

Being Content

As Paul said in one of his Epistles, he has learned to be content whether in abundance or in lack.

In our times now, there’s so much of things and materials that are just so appealing in our eyes and appetite. But if we just learn to be contented of what we have and we don’t have, then it’ll save us a lot of pressures and stress. Then, we won’t strive too hard in getting all those things that we simply want but just be contented with God supplying all our needs.

This has been our learning for a few days now. It’s amazing how I have learned because of the fact that presently our budget is just so limited to our basic needs. Once we learn to be content, it’s surprising that we can easily look away and control our “wants”. When we are content, our hearts will also be more grateful to GOd for all the ‘extras’ that comes our way.

The Biggest Loser

The Biggest Loser

I just watched Hallamark’s finale of The Biggest Loser reality TV series last week. I was awestruck as I saw how the contestants’ lost hundreds of pounds in a few months time. They really look so good with their slim and lean body.

I know that they simply didn’t just lost all those unwanted fats and weight without any effort but it took a lot of hard work, discipline and motivation. Imagine, working out  and being in the treadmill for hours, controlled diet and strength training.

Yes, losing weight is never easy but what I like about the series is that it indeed proves that it’s not impossible to attain that healthy and fit body that we’ve all been dreaming of.
