Mirror, Mirror On the Wall

Mirror, Mirror On the Wall

‘m not really a ‘mirror’ person, I can survive without having to look at myself in the mirror for days. But I guess there’s also a disadvantage with that, huh? Because the other day, when I saw myself in a full length mirror ( after a long time), I was so surprised with what I saw.. haha!

I saw a new, ‘pimply’ and bigger me! Waaahhh!! The result of mindless eating over the holidays and having an extended vacation after being ‘homeless’ for sometime. I think I need a serious makeover with serious diet, exercise, acne treatment and hair cut maybe?

The Truth Hurts

The Truth Hurts

I’ve mentioned in my recent post of my surprise ( or shock may be a more appropriate word) after seeing myself in a full length mirror after a long time. The truth hurts huh? Oh well, after that I can’t help but try to think of many serious ways for me to lose weight.

I’ve heard about the Banana diet on TV and of course, I bought bananas the next day! Haha! But as with my other diet endeavors I don’t usually last more than 3 days. So, good bye bananas… I hope to see you soon.. :)

Anyways, as of now I’m making use of my cousin’s 4-1 exercise gadget. It has a treadmill, waist trimmer, bicycle and a rowing ‘thingy’ to trim the arms. So, my aim for now is to use this equipment while we’re still staying in her house. When we go back to our house, then I’ll have to think of a different exercise. I really need to burn all these extra fats and flabs that I have

The Atkins Diet

The Atkins Diet

A few weeks ago, we were doing some book shopping in BookSale when I came across a cheap book that has been very famous several years ago, Dr. Atkin’s New Diet Revolution. Since it was so cheap ( more than 50% cheaper from the other bookstores), I didn’t hesitate to buy and read it myself.

So, I spent a few nights to read it and was actually convinced to give it a try. In summary, the Atkins Diet is a diet of protein and fats with carbohydrates intake at its minimum. It has been well explained in the book how fats can be burned faster with the minimal intake of carbohydrates and thus hastening metabolism.

After reading the book, I was set to do Atkins. I bought all my cheese, veggies and meat. But as a lover of bread and coffee, I know it’ll be a struggle to eliminate this from my daily diet. Anyways, I started with it and unfortunately, I failed on Day 1 itself! Hahhaha! Talk about self control huh?

I’m not sure if I’m set to try it again for the second time. But as for now, I’ll just have to train myself in putting all my cravings on a break.
